Tides go up, Tides go down... 

I love how you can see how high the waves are going up the beach and leaving their trace, creating a perfect reflection of the sky on top of it and of the mountains in the distance! 

Every six hours, the tide changes, but here in El Choco, the change is quite drastic. The scenario changes so much that communities around the ocean have to plan their days according to the tides. When tides are down, you can walk along the beaches, and ride the bikes, and red crabs start to walk all over the place. The tide rises and these beautiful beaches begin to be covered by the ocean; maybe staying in is the best bet, or if you know your way, going out on the boats to fish or do other marine activities is on the list. It’s a place where the power and magic of the ocean are deeply felt.
