White horizons

This is salt. Salt that is being extracted by using evaporation ponds that are connected to the ocean by a canal. When the ocean level rises, it will fill the ponds, and the water won't be allowed to go back out. With the high temperatures that take place here at la Guajira, Colombia, and with some time, seawater is evaporated, leaving its dearest treasure behind, salt!
